of four subspecies spread in Greece, Bulgaria, european Turkey
and southern Romania (seemingly mainly in the forest-steppe
area); this subspecies is spread only in southern Romania and
northern Bulgaria
The pictures below were taken in our garden
from Floresti, Cluj county on plants obtained from seeds collected
in the clearings of Babadag forest in august 2001. They insist only
on anthodia of the species. We're sorry for not being able to
provide yet the habit and the leaves of this tall and beautiful
species among other Acrolophus.
